Registered Nurse

Registered NurseA registered nurse delivers general nursing care and procedures in the clinic setting. Performs medical acts delegated by physicians or advanced practice clinicians. Supervises and directs delegated nursing acts to LPN's and MA's. Registered nurses will also perform clerical, laboratory and other duties as requested by administrative leadership, physicians and advanced practice clinicians. This full time opportunity reports to the Clinic Supervisor/Regional Director of Clinic Operations, and is located in Mequon, WI.Days/HoursMonday - Friday 8:30am-5pmResponsibilitiesDemonstrate current knowledge and skill in nursing practice to ensure safe and effective care for the patient population.Provide treatment and determine plan of care under provider supervision.Able to assess patients over the phone to determine plans of care.Assist or perform specialty specific procedures in an outpatient setting.Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, employees, physicians and the public to promote a professional health care environment.Assist in managing a physician's schedule according to their preferencesStays current on electronic health records (EHR) changes and ensures appropriate and effective documentation in patient records.Authorizes refills safely, efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner according to approved protocols.Obtain prior authorizations for medications, radiology, or outpatient services as needed.Other duties as assigned.Key Qualifications & CharacteristicsAssociate or Bachelor's degree in nursing.Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.Experience in a surgical setting or outpatient clinic preferred.Current CPR licensing required.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to multi-task and be flexible in learning and handling a variety of duties.Strong data entry skills and ability to work with computer applicationsOrganized with a strong attention to detail in a fast paced environmentStrong and comfortable communicating with patients, peers, and physiciansDemonstrated ability to work well both independently and with co-workers in a teamDemonstrated ability to work with confidential information.Perks & Benefits of Madison Medical:Competitive PTO planHealth insurance, vision, & dental401K employer contributionLife Insurance and voluntary disability insuranceMonday through Friday clinic hours, no weekends, no holidaysOpportunity to be a part of Milwaukee's Premier medical practice
