CMM Expert Technician III

Don’t settle for ordinary when extraordinary is within reach.Summary:The ELITE CMM Expert Technician is responsible for performing first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision hand tools, Hexagon PC-DMIS CMMs, and FARO Laser Arm equipment to ensure parts meet engineering specifications and quality standards.Key Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Program and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS measurement software.Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections on complex machined components.Conduct dimensional inspections using precision hand tools including micrometers, calipers, height gages, gage pins, gage blocks, and thread gages.Read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, detail drawings, and sectional views.Utilize FARO Laser Arm equipment and PolyWorks software (preferred) to support inspection and measurement activities.Ensure parts meet customer, engineering, and quality requirements through accurate inspection and documentation procedures.Qualifications:2-year college degree or formal technical training.Knowledge of PC-DMIS is required.Experience within aerospace or defense manufacturing environments.Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).Must have experience with complex machined components.Knowledge of manual inspection techniques.Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings and work with CAD models.Experience within aerospace or defense manufacturing environments.Strong attention to detail and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentMust be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR compliant)Physical & Mental Demands: The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to the following.Must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods of time (at desk, while driving, and/or travel) in an office/industrial environment.Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions.Must be able to lift 40 pounds.May be exposed to moving machinery, sharp metal chips, coolants, industrial chemicals, noise, heavy materials, etc.Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.Ability to hear in person and via phone.Why join United CNC Machining?100% employer-paid medical, dental, vision, and life insuranceCompetitive pay based on experiencePaid holidays and vacationFlexible start time (6:00 AM – 8:00 AM)Climate-controlled facilityOn-site fitness centerTobacco- and vape-free workplaceUnited CNC Machining is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr United-CNC-Machining-1
