As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Coordinator in New Orleans, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by managing entry points, verifying badges and visitor access, monitoring activity, and communicating professionally with team members and guests. Your visible presence will help deter incidents while supporting a positive customer experience. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, receiving locations, offices, and other designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Verify visitor, vendor, contractor, and delivery access credentials and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location, including entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
