Aerospace Production Associate

General Production WorkerThis role offers the opportunity to work in a highly automated, modern machine shop and gain hands-on experience across the full CNC manufacturing process. The general production worker supports multiple areas of the shop, including machine operation, quality control, hand finishing, and shipping/receiving, while following detailed work instructions and using basic hand and inspection tools. This position is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with their hands, have experience with tools or mechanical hobbies, and are eager to be cross-trained in all aspects of production.ResponsibilitiesOperate machines by following detailed written work instructions and using basic hand and power tools safely and correctly.Support quality control and inspection activities by following instructions, using inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers, and referencing prints where applicable.Perform hand finishing and deburring by using hand tools to remove material from metal parts and ensure clean, precise finishes.Assist with shipping and receiving by following work instructions to receive, package, label, and ship manufactured products accurately and on time.Read and follow written job orders, work travelers, and process documentation to complete tasks in the correct sequence.Perform basic math to verify dimensions, quantities, and measurements as part of daily production activities.Rotate through different functions in the shop and participate in cross-training to build skills across machine operation, inspection, finishing, and logistics.Handle parts, tools, and equipment carefully to maintain product quality and prevent damage or rework.Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and support continuous improvement.Adhere to ITAR compliance requirements and follow all shop safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.Essential SkillsStrong mechanical inclination with hands-on experience using basic hand and power tools, either through work experience or hobbies such as working on cars, motorcycles, or similar mechanical projects.Ability and willingness to be cross-trained in all aspects of the shop, including machine operation, quality control, hand finishing, and shipping/receiving.Ability to follow written job orders, detailed work instructions, and process documentation accurately.Capability to perform basic math to support measurements, counts, and production calculations.Comfort using hand tools, micrometers, calipers, and other basic inspection tools.Ability to operate basic machines and equipment in a production environment.ITAR compliant and able to work in an ITAR-regulated environment.Motivated, driven, and aligned with a hands-on, high-performance culture.Willingness to work the training shift (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and transition to a weekend shift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) as required.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in machine operation or CNC-related environments is beneficial.Experience with quality control, metrology, or inspection processes is a plus.Ability to read and interpret prints or technical drawings is an advantage.Prior experience with deburring or hand finishing metal parts is helpful.Exposure to shipping and receiving processes in a manufacturing setting is desirable.Interest in learning the full CNC manufacturing process and developing long-term technical skills.Demonstrated passion for hands-on work and continuous learning.Why Work Here?You will join a clean, modern, and highly automated manufacturing environment that invests in your growth and development. The environment is highly automated on the CNC side, with clearly defined, separate areas for quality and shipping departments. You will work with machines, hand tools, micrometers, calipers, deburring tools, and robotic systems as part of daily operations. Initial training takes place on a weekday schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., typically for one to two months, after which you will transition to a weekend shift on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The shop emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and adherence to safety and process standards, creating a professional and efficient work setting.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, OR.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
