Distribution Engineer II

Job Description Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Power Distribution Engineer II to join our team. The role is primarily responsible for the cost-effective conceptual and engineering solutions to upgrade, expand, maintain, and automate overhead and underground power distribution systems for our clients using various software systems and engineering/construction standards. The role ensures compliance with client procedures, design standards, state and federal regulatory requirements and safety code requirements. They will execute projects under the lead of a Senior Engineer and will work closely with engineers performing substation, distribution, transmission, renewable energy, power storage, and communication designs. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. Responsibilities Perform all Distribution Engineer I Roles/Responsibilities Design and develop advanced engineering solutions, applying engineering principles and utility standards. Analyze andvanced projects and prepare a comprehensive design criteria. Provide guidance and mentorship to Engineer 1 and interns, fostering their professional growth. Identify and resolve engineering challenges, proposing innovative solutions. Ensure all engineering/design work adheres to industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Preparation of technical documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy. Maintain comprehensive records of project developments and changes. Participate in stakeholder meetings to provide technical insights and updates. Engage in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge. Required Skills 1-3yrs experience w/ B.S in an Engineering Discipline from an ABET accredited university.
