Senior CNC Programmer

Job Description

Fuze HR Solutions is partnering with an established aerospace manufacturer to hire an experienced Senior CNC Programmer with a strong background in high-precision, complex machining.

This is a direct-hire, hands-on role for someone who is highly experienced with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining, CNC Mill-Turn, CNC Lathes, and Mastercam. You’ll have the opportunity to work on complex aerospace components, optimize machining processes, and bring your programming expertise to a team focused on quality, precision, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do:

\n

\n

CNC Programming & Setup

\n

\n
• Develop, test, and debug CNC programs using G-code and M-code.
\n
• Program 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC Mills and Lathes with live tooling.
\n
• Create and maintain detailed setup sheets and tool lists.
\n
• Use Mastercam to create computer models and CNC programs.
\n
• Maintain accurate job records and program files.
\n
• Edit and optimize programs directly at the machine control.
\n

Process Improvement:

\n

\n
• Optimize machining processes to improve cycle times, efficiency, and cost.
\n
• Analyze feeds, speeds, and toolpaths to eliminate unnecessary machine movements.
\n
• Evaluate cutting tools and machining techniques.
\n
• Perform tooling cost analysis and identify opportunities for improvement.
\n
• Analyze drawings and design data to determine the best tooling and machining parameters.
\n
• Assist with the design of custom tools and fixtures when needed.
\n
• Support the implementation of new machining technologies and processes.
\n

\n

Collaboration & Quality:

\n

\n
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Tooling, Quality, and Production teams.
\n
• Work directly with machinists on the shop floor to prove out and refine programs.
\n
• Troubleshoot and revise programs to ensure efficient production.
\n
• Ensure finished parts meet blueprint requirements and tight dimensional tolerances.
\n
• Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) throughout the manufacturing process.
\n

\n

Required Experience

\n

\n
• 5+ years of CNC programming experience, preferably in aerospace or another high-precision manufacturing environment.
\n
• 5+ years of hands-on Mastercam experience.
\n
• 3–5+ years of CNC machining, setup, and operation experience.
\n
• Strong experience programming and machining with: 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis
\n
• CNC Mill-Turn
\n
• CNC Lathes with live tooling
\n
• Ability to edit and troubleshoot CNC programs at the machine control.
\n
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code.
\n
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings.
\n
• Strong knowledge of GD&T.
\n
• Experience using precision measuring equipment, including: Calipers, Micrometers, Bore gauges and other precision measurement tools
\n

Experience machining a variety of Aerospace materials, including:

\n
• Ferrous alloys
\n
• Copper alloys
\n
• Delrin
\n
• Nylon
\n
• Other non-metallic materials

Software Experience Required:

Software Experience Preferred:

• CATIA

• SolidWorks
\n

Pay & Benefits:

$35.00–$50.00+ per hour DOE
