Candidates must reside in the greater Austin area.*Must have active registration with Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Technician or Trainee (required)Excellent attention to detailEfficient data entry skillsKnowledge of pharmacy and medical terminologyAt least six months pharmacy technician experience preferredFlexible schedule, available to work variable shifts including SaturdaysAble to lift up to 25+lbsAble to stand for 8 hoursCompensation and Benefits for Compound Pharmacy Technician:$17.00–$22.00/hour (based on certification level and relevant experience)Vacation + holiday pay + sick PTO (FT only)Medical, dental and vision (FT only)401K with company matchIn-house product trainingDiscounts on store products at our retail locationsResponsibilities for Compound Pharmacy Technician:Compound medications per SOP and regulatory compliance standardsReceive written and electronic prescriptions or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurateEnter and maintain prescription data using pharmacy software systemAnswer incoming phone calls and field patient questionsContact doctor's offices or hospitals to clarify prescription information and initiate refill requestsResolution of prescription insurance claimsAssist the pharmacist with packaging medications and affixing proper labelsMaintain the ongoing medication inventory and place medication orders when instructed
