Job Description Wayne Memorial Hospital, located in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, is a non‑profit community hospital providing high‑quality outpatient and inpatient care. We are seeking a full‑time, on‑site Family Medicine Physician to provide outpatient care for patients of all ages. This role focuses on preventive care, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions in a patient‑centered environment. The physician will collaborate closely with care teams, support community health initiatives, and provide guidance and education to patients and families. Physicians have the support of a strong specialty practice network, including multiple subspecialists, and participate in shared community call coverage. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive outpatient care to patients of all ages, including well visits, preventive care, and chronic disease management. Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for a wide range of medical conditions. Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures. Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record (EHR) documentation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurses, medical assistants, and specialists, to ensure coordinated patient care. Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and clinic efficiency. Job Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required. Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine. Active Pennsylvania medical license and DEA registration.
