Housekeeping

Main Duties:

• Clean and maintain public areas, hallways, elevators, lobby, stairways, and other hotel areas.
• Assist housekeeping attendants with cleaning and preparing guest rooms when needed.
• Deliver clean towels, sheets, linens, toiletries, and other supplies to guest rooms.
• Collect dirty linens and transport them to the laundry area.
• Remove trash and keep housekeeping areas clean and organized.
• Restock housekeeping closets and supplies.
• Help move furniture, rollaway beds, mattresses, and other equipment as required.
• Assist with deep cleaning and special cleaning projects.
• Report maintenance problems, damaged items, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Respond to guest requests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Follow hotel standards for cleanliness, safety, and guest service.
• Work closely with room attendants, laundry staff, and housekeeping supervisors.
• Maintain a professional appearance and follow hotel policies.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift regularly.
• Lift and carry housekeeping supplies and equipment.
• Work in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Be available to work weekends and holidays, depending on the hotel's schedule.

Skillset:

• Good work ethic and reliability.
• Attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Good customer-service skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Previous hotel or housekeeping experience is helpful, but some Holiday Inn Express locations may provide training.
