FamilySearch Collections Staff Assistant - Part-Time Temporary

The FamilySearch Library is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Collections Staff Assistant to support the management and maintenance of library materials and catalog records. This temporary, part-time position plays an important role in ensuring library collections are organized, accurate, and accessible to patrons and staff. This is an in-person position based at the FamilySearch Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. Remote work is not available. General Requirements Temple worthy Availability to work in person at the FamilySearch Library Ability to work shifts of at least four consecutive hours Responsibilities

Receive, unpack, and process incoming books and materials Verify and correct information in the library catalog Sort and process items returned from other locations Shelve books and maintain organization of library collections Assist with inventory management of library materials Track and update monthly collection statistics Qualifications

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push carts containing books and boxes Ability to bend, stoop, stand regularly, and sit for extended periods as needed Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and related tools Ability to learn and effectively use the Koha library catalog system
