The Operations Support Nurse is responsible for providing clinical oversight, direct patient care, management of regulatory and contractual compliance along with serving as a champion for continuous quality improvement. A critical focus of this role places emphasis on ensuring a high standard of performance as established by NCCHC, ACA and other accrediting agencies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in Emergency Department, Critical Care, or similar setting.
• Current BLS
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency with electronic health records.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• ACLS certification.
• Correctional healthcare experience.
• Clinical educator or preceptor experience.
• Leadership or charge nurse background.
• Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP).

Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to respond rapidly to emergencies, stand and walk throughout the facility, assist patients as required, meet security clearance requirements, and work in a correctional environment. The ability to lift and carry medical equipment up to 50lbs. Must be able to push and pull medical carts, and equipment as needed.

Education

Preferred: Bachelors or better in Accounting.
