Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Full-Time (Onsite) Company: Colorado Springs Urology Location: 1644 Medical Center Point, Colorado Springs, CO 80907 Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week Compensation: $38.56 - $50.13 per hour (Based on experience) About the Opportunity Colorado Springs Urology is expanding and seeks a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist for our new, state‑of‑the‐art PET CT / Hot Lab / Infusion Center. Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Communication: Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, address comfort and privacy needs, and provide clear discharge instructions. Radiopharmaceutical Management: Safely prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals while strictly documenting all records. Imaging & Technology: Operate imaging equipment, cameras, post‑processing computers, and monitoring devices to ensure images are fully prepared for physician interpretation. Safety & Compliance: Use appropriate immobilization and shielding techniques; comply with state regulations regarding the use and disposal of radioactive materials; perform equipment calibrations and maintain strict radiation safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Collaboration: Maintain a clean, well‑stocked work area and assist patients, family members, and colleagues in a friendly, cooperative manner. Ethics & Standards: Adhere to high standards of ethical conduct, maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and Solaris Health policies. Position Requirements Education: Associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology required (bachelor's degree preferred). Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technology experience. Credentials: Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR certification through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) is required. Current license and certification as required by the state of Colorado. BLS certification required (ACLS preference). Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with healthcare systems like EMR. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a natural ability to show empathy and compassion to patients. Travel: None required. Physical Demands: Ability to frequently carry 1–25 lbs. and occasionally lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. as required by standard clinical protocols.
