Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices - Automotive Mechanics We are looking for full‑time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state‑of‑the‑art automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Americus, GA area. About the Position of Automotive Mechanic As the leading undercar repair specialists at Mavis, you will inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles. Responsibilities include undercar repairs such as brakes, struts, and shocks, completing state‑mandated inspections, changing oil and filters, checking fluids, replacing worn parts, and dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires. Qualifications At least 18 years of age. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Two years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or equivalent education, training, and experience. Extensive toolbox of personal tools used for performing undercar repairs. Preferred qualifications: State inspection license(s). ASE Certifications: Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5). Physical Requirements Must stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repeated motions consistent with vehicle maintenance and repair.
