Full Time Grocery Manager

Job Overview Cub Cambridge is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a Full Time Grocery Manager position! The Grocery Manager is responsible to plan and manage the Grocery Department to promote sales and achieve profit margins and labor goals; ensure a positive shopping experience for customers, and a safe and positive working environment for associates. Job Responsibilities Assist customers and ensure proper service levels and courtesy from all associates Develops effective daily/weekly work plans based on weekly sales projections, budgeted labor goals and previous operating results Implements and maintains coordinated, aggressive and creative merchandising plans, using Division guidelines, which maximize sales, variety and gross profit Ensure accurate pricing and signage within the department Supervises Grocery associates to ensure efficient labor utilization and effectiveness in meeting department objectives Manages Grocery receiving, invoicing, pricing, shrink control and inventory to ensure proper product control and that gross profit goals are met Trains and develops grocery department personnel Supervises department safety and sanitation programs Job Requirements Equipment operation (scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine, intercom, calculator, etc.) Able to stand for long periods of time Memorization, reading, writing and math The position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available Have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays Physical Requirements Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs Walking on uneven ground Reaching, bending, turning, repetitive motions Schedule Open availability is required At least one evening shift is required between Friday to Sunday Benefits Flexible schedule for work life balance Employee discount Weekly pay on a progressive union scale Benefits for eligible associates including Paid Time Off Compensation UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position.
