Busy Optometry practice with 2 locations seeking an Optometric Assistant. The ideal candidate will be dependable, flexible, friendly, and efficient at multitasking. We are looking for full/part time. We are open 5 days a week with two early evenings but no weekends.
**Candidates must have the ability to travel to our 2 locations, Munhall and Pittsburgh by the Children's Hospital**
Optometric Assistant Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, answer questions, and assist with administrative duties
- Prepare patients for vision exam, such as taking visual acuity, visual field and OCT testing and administering eye drops
- Assisting patients with frame and lens option purchases. Dispensing, adjusting and repairing frames
- Educating patients on the proper eye and contact lens care. Teaching insertion and removal of contact lenses.
Job Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Experience in optometry/ophthalmology office preferred.
