Sustaining Engineer II

Sustaining Engineer II supports cardiovascular product manufacturing at Medtronic's Fridley facility, designing processes and layouts for combination product assembly while driving continuous improvement and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role requires on-site presence and collaboration within a team of 15+ manufacturing engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design manufacturing processes and production layouts for cardiovascular combination product assembly
- Identify and implement improvements to reduce production scrap and nonconforming product
- Inspect machinery and equipment performance; initiate corrective actions for quality issues
- Develop and maintain manufacturing processes using statistical process control
- Ensure processes comply with applicable regulations and specifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with minimum 2 years relevant manufacturing or operations experience
- Master's degree (0 years experience acceptable)
- Manufacturing process design and optimization expertise
- Knowledge of statistical process control methods
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at hire
Compensation: $81,600–$122,400 base
