Associate Director, Engineering - Control Leader

Merck seeks an Associate Director of Engineering to lead project control strategies across a global portfolio. This role ensures effective cost and schedule management, deploys innovative methodologies, and monitors project performance to support successful execution in the pharmaceutical engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Establish and implement project control execution plans across assigned portfolio
- Develop and maintain monthly project cost reports including earned-value analysis and risk management
- Support deployment of Target Value Delivery and Last Planner® methodologies
- Monitor leading indicators and provide early warning of cost, schedule, and performance issues
- Coordinate with architect-engineer and construction management teams on scheduling and reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or relevant discipline
- 10+ years of project control and management experience
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar financial management software
- Proficiency with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project
- Ability to travel across the Americas up to 25% annually
- Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred, including facility qualification
Compensation: $142,400.00 - $224,100.00
