Facilities Technician

The Facilities Technician supports the physical environment required for the delivery of health care services, and is responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of the facility by monitoring, operating, and maintaining building systems and equipment, performing tasks where no state-issued electrical license is required. They must possess a working knowledge of systems, processes, and procedures required to safely and effectively perform their assigned duties, while also continuously developing knowledge of new processes, equipment, and technologies used to carry out the work. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information. 4 years' experience working with building systems and equipment, preferably in a healthcare setting, e.g. HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, nurse call systems, electrical systems and cabling, fire sprinklers and alarms, security systems, refrigeration equipment; or Exhibits a working knowledge comparable to this experience. Preferred Qualifications: Associate's DegreeinFacilities Maintenance Technology or 4 years work experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Upon hire: EPA 608 Universal Refrigeration Technician certification. Upon hire: ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Maintenance certification. Upon hire: OHA Backflow Assembly Tester certification.
