Together, we create something unique that continues to grow year after year.We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our Maintenance Division Accounting team. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys developing people while driving operational excellence.What You'll DoWorking closely with the Controller of our Maintenance Division, the Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support the company's continued growth.Leadership & Team ManagementLead, mentor, and develop staff responsible for general accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and support.Foster a collaborative, service-oriented team culture.General AccountingPrepare month-end close files and supporting documentationConduct monthly meetings to review financial results and close activitiesPost monthly journal entriesClose modules at month end to advance period for new monthAssist with special projects and other accounting-related responsibilities as assigned.Accounts Payable & Accounts ReceivableOversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.Review weekly AP invoice batches and ensure timely vendor payments.Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.Credit Cards:Issue new credit cards, monitor activity, and import monthlyReview monthly credit card reports for accuracy and complianceRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or finance8+ years of progressive accounting experiencePrevious leadership or supervisory experienceAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principlesPreferred QualificationsExperience in the landscape, construction, or related service industries.Experience with Sage and/or Paycom.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.Why Gothic Landscape?Competitive base salary: $90,000 - $110,000 DOEMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) and Roth IRA options9 Paid HolidaysPaid Vacation and Sick TimeCareer growth opportunities with an industry leaderFamily-oriented culture focused on teamwork, integrity, and professional developmentIf you're looking for an opportunity to make an impact with a growing organization that values its people as much as its clients, we'd love to hear from you.
