BIM Coordinator - Semiconductor / Process Piping

Location: Phoenix, AZ Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $90,000–$120,000 DOE Industry: Semiconductor / Water Treatment / Industrial Construction Position Summary Our client is seeking a BIM Coordinator to support large‑scale semiconductor facility projects in the Phoenix, Arizona area. This position will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating Building Information Models (BIM) throughout the design and construction lifecycle. The BIM Coordinator will work closely with engineering, construction, subcontractors, and project management teams to coordinate process piping, mechanical, electrical, structural, and equipment systems and resolve field and design conflicts. The ideal candidate has hands‑on BIM coordination experience in semiconductor fabs or similar complex industrial facilities, with strong knowledge of Navisworks, 3D CAD/modeling, piping systems, and multidisciplinary coordination. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate BIM models across piping, mechanical, electrical, structural, equipment, and instrumentation systems
• Participate in daily BIM coordination meetings with engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks and coordinate resolution of design and construction conflicts
• Conduct field coordination with mechanical/electrical engineers and subcontractors to resolve site issues
• Review and modify piping drawings and support the development of 2D construction drawings
• Coordinate piping systems involving pumps, valves, filters, instrumentation, high‑purity piping, and related equipment
• Support layout and coordination of site piping, including Point‑of‑Use (POU) connections and structural supports
• Review P&IDs, equipment layouts, skids, and distribution loops
• Manage BIM coordination tracking and reporting
• Coordinate interfaces with other contractors and vendors
• Support fabrication drawing reviews, client presentations, reports, and contract administration
• Work closely with engineering and construction teams to improve constructability and project execution

Qualifications Required

• 3+ years of BIM coordination experience, preferably on semiconductor fabs or similarly complex industrial facilities
• Strong experience with Navisworks, including clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination
• Proficiency with 3D CAD/modeling software such as Plant 3D, Revit, or similar platforms
• Experience coordinating piping, structural, and electrical systems
• Ability to understand mechanical/process documentation including P&IDs, layouts, skids, and distribution loops
• Strong communication, coordination, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• College degree
• Ability to work effectively with engineers, contractors, vendors, and clients

Preferred

• Semiconductor fab construction experience
• Water treatment, wastewater treatment, or UPW (Ultra‑Pure Water) experience
• Process piping or high‑purity piping experience
• Experience working directly on active construction sites
• Plant 3D experience

Additional Requirements – Approximately 5% domestic and international travel Compensation & Benefits
