Escrow Officer

Attention to detail, great communication skills (verbal & written) great organizational skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position. Regular or Temporary: Regular Language Fluency: English (Required) Work Shift: 1st Shift (United States of America) Responsibilities: Interact and coordinate with industry contacts such as realtors, loan officers, underwriters, brokers, buyers, and sellers and other involved parties to facilitate proper pre and post-closing procedures. Comply with all state and federal laws governing escrow transactions and escrow accounts Monitor progress in compliance with all terms and conditions of purchase contracts Review closing instructions to determine conditions that must be met prior to closing and funding. Work closely with clients to accomplish a closed transaction in a timely, efficient and error‑free manner. Order updates from the underwriter and determine clearance to close. Calculate and prorate taxes, interest, and insurance for settlement statements Ensure taxes, insurance, and loan payoffs are properly accounted for Assemble and deliver closing statements to buyers, sellers, brokers, agents, and lenders Accurately disburse funds and ensure recording of necessary documents in a timely manner. Hold funds, property, or documents in trust until all contractual obligations are satisfied Prepare, review, and verify escrow agreements, and closing documents for accuracy Assemble and send completed loan and closing documents and packages to all applicable parties Requirements: 5+ years of escrow experience Knowledge of title insurance, regulatory guidelines, legal documents, and real property law a plus Must be licensed as an Escrow Officer. Knowledge of SoftPro Select a plus Great time management skills Outstanding work ethic with the ability to work in both team oriented and self-directed environments. Detail-oriented and professional; able to handle confidential information. High level of accountability Customer service oriented Creative problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal).
