Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description

The General Production Worker assembles electrical box units of various sizes using hand and power tools in a clean, lean manufacturing environment. This role focuses on mechanical assembly tasks such as pulling wires, installing doors, and performing detailed production work while standing for extended periods and handling materials safely.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical box units of various sizes according to specifications and work instructions.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, including screwdrivers, wire cutters, crimpers, and similar equipment, to complete mechanical assembly tasks.
• Pull and route wires accurately within electrical box units to ensure proper layout and functionality.
• Install doors and other components onto electrical box units with attention to detail and quality.
• Perform consistent mechanical assembly work, ensuring that all parts are correctly fitted and securely fastened.
• Follow lean manufacturing principles to maintain an efficient, clean, and organized work area.
• Stand, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift to complete assembly tasks safely and effectively.
• Lift and move materials and components weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Visually inspect work for quality and completeness, identifying and addressing basic assembly issues.
• Work collaboratively with team members and share ideas to help improve efficiency and processes.

• Proven experience using hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, wire crimpers, wire cutters, and similar equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical assembly tasks in a production or similar environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, parts, and assemblies.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods during the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently and handle materials safely.
• Experience assembling or putting items together, such as furniture, computers, cars, appliances, or similar products.

• Previous manufacturing or production work experience.
• On-the-job assembly experience in a factory or production setting.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.

The role is based in a lean manufacturing facility that is clean, organized, bright, and generally quiet. At times, employees may be exposed to a paint-like smell in certain areas of the plant. The environment emphasizes efficiency, safety, and quality, with access to various hand and power tools and production equipment to support mechanical and electrical assembly work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
