Your Role on the Team Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and/or Clinical Nurse Manager, the Central Supply Instrument Technician cares for instruments and supplies by cleaning, organizing and wrapping them in approved manner conducive to sterilization anddisinfection techniques. What It Takes to be Successful Required Qualifications: Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Knowledge of the surgical environment and aseptic technique. BLS certification Knowledge of preparation and use of anesthesia delivery systems. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms High School Diploma or equivalent Membership of the American Society of Anesthesiology Technicians/Technologists.
