We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and medical supplies for use in various procedures. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, sterilization, and assembly of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Maintain inventory management and organization of surgical supplies and trays.
• Participate in quality assurance processes to uphold safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with team members in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist in training new staff and contributing to a teaching department atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing or a related field.
• Certification from either CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA is required.
• Ability to float between similar units as needed.
• Strong understanding of supply knowledge and case picking.

Shift Information

This position requires working five 8-hour evening shifts from 14:00 to 22:30, including rotating weekends. A three-day orientation will be conducted on day shifts before transitioning to contracted hours.

Additional Information

This role is based in an active department specializing in neuro, ortho, robotics, and pediatrics, along with traditional service lines including uro, general, and GYN. You will play a key role in a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional patient care and support.

Guaranteed hours are 72 per two-week period, with a possibility of being called off for one shift within that timeframe.
