Accounts Receivable Specialist

firstPRO 360 is assisting their client, a growing construction company in Kennesaw, with a search for a motivated and detail-oriented AR / Collections Specialist to join its accounting team. This role will be responsible for managing accounts receivable activities, collections efforts, customer account reconciliation, and maintaining accurate financial records in a fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, coachable, and works well in a collaborative team setting. Construction industry experience is preferred, along with strong communication and problem‑solving skills. Key Responsibilities Manage day‑to‑day accounts receivable and collections activities Follow up on outstanding invoices and past‑due accounts in a professional and timely manner Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies Apply customer payments and maintain accurate AR records Monitor aging reports and elevate collection issues as needed Communicate with customers regarding payment status, invoices, and account questions Work closely with project managers and internal departments to resolve payment issues Assist with month‑end closing activities related to accounts receivable Maintain organized documentation and ensure accuracy of financial data Support accounting team with additional administrative and accounting tasks as needed Qualifications 2+ years of accounts receivable and/or collections experience required Sage 300 or Sage Intacct experience preferred Construction industry experience preferred Strong understanding of AR processes, collections procedures, and account reconciliation Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Coachable attitude with willingness to learn and grow Team‑oriented mindset with a positive and professional approach Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel #J-18808-Ljbffr firstPRO 360
