They run clean systems, coach humans (not robots), and protect the client experience like it’s their own reputation on the line. This role is a hands‑on, people-heavy, detail-rich — and deeply satisfying if you like turning complexity into order. What you'll own: Day‑to‑day operations of the studio — opening and closing, floor flow, service delivery standards Full team management for 15-20 staff across clinical (estheticians, electrologists) and front desk — scheduling, performance, accountability, culture SOP development and enforcement: building new procedures from scratch, rolling them out, and verifying they stick Practice management software (Meevo) as the source of truth — appointments, rebooking, reporting, and reconciliation Inventory of consumables and retail product at the SKU level — no runouts, no waste Client retention systems: rebooking rates, package conversion, membership enrollment, and service upsell infrastructure Revenue per visit: building and coaching the team on treatment plan presentation, product recommendations, and natural upsell moments — so every client leaves with a clear next step Retail sales performance: product knowledge, merchandising standards, and team accountability to sales targets Membership and package sales: owning the conversion pipeline from first visit to long‑term client, tracking close rates, and improving them Compliance with relevant health and safety regulations P&L visibility and accountability at the location level What we're looking for: 3+ years as an operations or practice manager in a small, independently owned, client‑facing services business with 6–15 staff Deep fluency in a scheduling‑based practice management platform Experience managing mixed teams with different roles, pay structures, and professional identities Comfortable owning inventory management at a granular level Strong with spreadsheets and data — you can open a messy sheet, find the problems, and build something cleaner Recurring‑client business experience: you've thought about rebooking, retention, and lifetime value as part of your job Experience driving revenue through treatment plans, packages, memberships, or retail — and coaching a team to do the same consistently Nice to have: Experience in skincare, aesthetics, or wellness. We'll teach you what you need to know about the industry — the operational muscle is what matters most.
