Business Systems Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join a leading organization in the agricultural biotechnology industry. The Business Systems Analyst will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping to identify, design, and implement technology solutions that drive operational efficiency and business growth. This role is ideal for a technically-minded professional with a background in software engineering, data engineering, or application development who enjoys partnering with leaders across multiple business functions. Responsibilities of the Business Systems Analyst: Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and other business units to gather, document, and analyze business requirements. Support technology initiatives involving Python development, AWS cloud services, React applications, system integrations, and data platforms. Facilitate meetings and workshops with business leaders and stakeholders to understand challenges, objectives, and process improvement opportunities. Translate business requirements into technical specifications, user stories, and actionable development plans. Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, architects, and third-party vendors to implement solutions. Analyze business processes and recommend improvements through automation, reporting, and technology enhancements. Participate in solution design, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment, and post-implementation support activities. Create and maintain business process documentation, workflows, requirements documents, and project artifacts. Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams. Qualifications of the Business Systems Analyst: 4+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or similar role. Previous hands‑on experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Application Development, or another technical discipline. Strong understanding of Python, AWS cloud technologies, and modern web applications utilizing React. Experience gathering requirements and partnering directly with business leaders and executive stakeholders. Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams, translating complex business needs into technical solutions. Experience working within Agile environments and familiarity with Jira and the software development lifecycle. Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
