What's in it for you: The Associate Category Manager – Facilities, EHS & Construction role has the responsibility for strategic category management leading negotiations and purchases for the entire organization. The Associate Category Manager – Facilities, EHS & Construction has the critical responsibility of managing and supporting business needs with internal partners to identify and manage a supply base to deliver value across all SBUs. What you will do: Collaboration: Identify, engage and align with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, quality or other business partners) to capture category requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality. Responsible for multi-year strategy development, execution of Indirect Procurement processes, and supplier relationship management Develop relationships and communication strategies with internal partners to identify business needs and align the supply base to achieve strategic direction Responsible for building and managing strategic supplier relationships through a formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process to improve supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, productivity, and innovation Provide guidance and oversight of the sourcing process to ensure spending is awarded to provide the maximum value Lead the development and negotiation of contracts through the Contract Lifecycle Management process while maximizing value and minimizing risk Partner with Regional and Global Procurement teams to ensure delivery of productivity, cost avoidance, and cash flow Risk Management: Actively monitor and mitigate supplier risk including financial, capacity, quality, and compliance Expected travel requirements are 10-15% What you will bring: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field. 2+ years of procurement / sourcing experience, ex: consulting, purchasing / buyer, and/or analyst experience. Ability to assess vendors and demonstrated negotiating skills. Demonstrated experience facilitating discussions and strong conflict resolution skills. Professional communication; both verbal and written are required. Key Competencies: Communication Skills – Exhibits enthusiasm, influences customers, represents Procurement with SBU leadership, presentation, and messaging skills (understanding the audience) Supply Chain Acumen – Established long-term strategies, champions development and utilization of globally competitive tools and processes, drives for optimal business results focused on meeting the needs of the business. Project Management – Collaborates with cross-functional leaders to align objectives, manages global project portfolio and oversees overall implementation. Global Business Thinking/Strategizing - Demonstrates deep global knowledge of suppliers, industry trends, emerging markets, technology, and geopolitical changes; drives this knowledge into short and long-term strategies. Problem Solving - Understands customer expectations; keeps abreast of competitor/related industry problems; anticipates and avoids potential problems; supports team problem-solving and corrective action plan implementation. Relationship Management – Creates collaborative environment with cross-functional peers, assures regular/appropriate two-way communication flow, builds/maintains relationships with industry peers and supplier leaders, and reinforces lead on voice to the supply base. Change Management – Develops and utilizes change management tools to educate business on key strategies and business objectives to support the vision of indirect procurement. Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range: $56,300.00 - $101,394.99 Compensation Type: Salary Incentive Eligible: No Sales Commission Eligible: No Disclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors. Our compensation range is generally based on the national average for the country. Additionally, benefits may vary depending on the region, business alignment, union involvement, and employee status.
