Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students as a full-time School Psychologist in a vibrant educational environment near Plainfield, IL. This onsite contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with a diverse team, helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within a supportive school setting. The assignment runs from now through late May 2027, providing stability and the opportunity to develop strong relationships within the school community.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Illinois School Psychologist license and valid Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, ideally in school settings
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and consultation
- Ability to manage a caseload of 35-45 students with varying needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive educational experience
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for individual students
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop effective interventions
- Deliver counseling and crisis support to students as needed
- Participate in multi-disciplinary child study teams and IEP meetings
- Provide recommendations for accommodations, services, and behavior support
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with relevant laws and guidelines
