Adecco is currently hiring Painters for a leading Whittier-based manufacturer of modular console furniture. This position is responsible for applying high-quality finishes to furniture products used in mission-critical environments, including Air Traffic Control facilities and other specialized workspaces.

The ideal candidate will have experience with surface preparation, paint application, quality inspection, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Successful candidates must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to producing high-quality finished products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare furniture components for finishing by sanding, cleaning, masking, and priming surfaces.

• Apply paint, coatings, and finishes using spray guns, brushes, and other finishing equipment.

• Ensure proper coverage, color consistency, and finish quality according to company specifications.

• Inspect completed work for defects such as runs, drips, uneven texture, scratches, or missed areas.

• Maintain spray booths, paint equipment, and finishing tools in clean and operational condition.

• Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer and production specifications.

• Follow production schedules and meet departmental output goals.

• Work closely with production, assembly, and quality teams to ensure product excellence.

• Adhere to OSHA regulations and all company safety policies regarding paints, solvents, and hazardous materials.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.

QualificationsRequired

• Previous experience as a Painter, Industrial Painter, Furniture Finisher, or related manufacturing role.

• Experience using spray equipment and finishing tools.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

Preferred

• Experience in furniture manufacturing or wood finishing.

• Knowledge of paint mixing and finishing techniques.

• Familiarity with manufacturing quality standards and inspection processes.

• Understanding of OSHA safety requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift.

• Ability to work in a production environment with exposure to paint fumes, solvents, and other manufacturing materials.

• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
