What You'll Do

• Conduct overnight sleep studies for outpatient, pediatric, and geriatric patients, including those with sleep apnea, narcolepsy, and other sleep disorders
• Prepare and fit positive airway pressure (PAP) masks and troubleshoot sleep equipment, including BiPAP and CPAP devices
• Monitor electrodes, thermistors, and other probes to record baseline values and parameters like oxygen saturation, respiratory, and heart rate
• Educate patients on sleep procedures and answer routine questions about testing
• Assist with patient care, including basic ambulation support when needed
• Document detailed sleep study data using EMR systems such as Meditech Expanse and monitors like Alice Sleepware G3/Nihon Kohden

What You Need

• Required:
  • LA State License
  • BLS and RPSGT or RRT-SDS certifications
  • At least 1 year of sleep tech experience
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot equipment
  • Comfortable with patient care, including pediatrics and geriatrics
• Preferred:
  • Previous travel sleep experience
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic respiratory interventions

About the Assignment This position provides essential overnight sleep study services at a reputable sleep center, supporting outpatient patients with a range of sleep disorders. The technician will work independently or with minimal supervision, ensuring high-quality data collection and patient care during the night shift. Multiple clinics are serviced, with scheduled orientation and flexible weekend rotations.
