CoolToday is currently seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join our team of dedicated and driven professionals committed to delivering the best experience every day. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, parts, and equipment to support our service and installation teams, ensuring timely procurement, accurate purchase order processing, competitive vendor pricing, and efficient coordination of deliveries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and communication are critical to success.

What's In It For Me?

• Pay: $22-$23 per hour
  Schedule: Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
  Hours: 40 hours per week (occasional Saturday, approximately once per month)

Responsibilities

What Will I Do?

• Source and purchase materials, equipment, and parts needed for service and installation jobs
• Work closely with field technicians and internal departments to create and manage purchase orders
• Respond to phone calls and material requests from technicians in the field
• Conduct price comparisons and vendor analysis to secure the best value and pricing
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Track and monitor incoming shipments and resolve delivery issues when necessary
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
• Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Ensure inventory and purchasing needs are met to support daily operations

Qualifications

Do I have What it Takes?

• Previous purchasing or procurement experience required
• Experience in the HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, or related trades is a plus
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
• Ability to build relationships with vendors and internal teams
• Team player who thrives in a deadline-driven environment.
