Field Printer Maintenance Engineer

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges. Job Summary Essential Functions/Duties A Field Printer Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the following functions/duties: Performs tier 2 troubleshooting over the phone with customers to identify system faults and trends. Performs basic network troubleshooting and print server management. Responds to service calls on RICOH copiers, printers, and plotters at multiple sites. Maintains inventory of parts and rebuilds hardware when possible. Reviews latest RICOH tech bulletins to implement improvements. Works on projects both alone and in groups to reach an end customer goal. Perform other job-related duties, as required. Desired Qualifications Experience with printer mechanical functions of RICOH printer hardware. Comfortability with wiring diagrams, hardware schematics, and printer firmware. Valid U.S. driver's license. Requirements Education, Technical, and Work Experience An associate's degree in engineering or other technical discipline, or formal academic/vocational/military training and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the specialty field are required for this position. In addition, a Field Engineer III must possess the following qualifications: Broad knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering that enable senior technical contributor-level performance on complex projects or programs Knowledge and skill sufficient to apply developments in engineering to solve problems in the specialty area Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software Excellent verbal and written communication skills Planning/organizational skills Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. Salary The expected salary range for this position is $78,000 to $90,000 annually. Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. JT4 considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market/business considerations when extending an offer.
