• Promote teamwork and commitment to department/agency goals.
• Establish, develop, and sustain professional relations with internal staff, carriers, and clients.
• Create an environment where teammates feel connected and energized.
• Manage and retain existing book of business as assigned and pursue new opportunities where appropriate
• Establish and maintain good relationships with carriers and other industry contacts to stay current on market research, develop creative strategies for client retention, and new business opportunities
• Understand, review, and analyze client's business needs and goals as it pertains to group benefits; diligently and strategically work to design and manage benefit plans to align and support client's goals
• Consult & advise client of best practices as it pertains to Federal and State compliance requirements, such as: ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, Prepaid Health Care Act, etc.
• Ensure proper resources are involved with the client and introduce new products, where appropriate
• Prepare client renewals and new business strategies, including proposals and presentations while ensuring agreement with client's requests/requirements

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• College degree; 4-year degree preferred
• Positive attitude, dependability, strong work ethic, and maintain a positive culture in the workplace
• Technical knowledge of insurance coverages
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Exceptional communication/demeanor (written & verbal) with internal and external individuals
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethical conduct
• Professional office experience, etiquette and appearance
• Valid Hawaii Insurance Producer License - Life & Health
• Active, valid driver's license; ability to travel to visit clients and prospective clients as needed
