Material Handler – 1st Shift

Location: Verona, MS
Pay: $17.21 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Lunch: 30-minute unpaid lunch break
Hours: Guaranteed 32 hours per week , with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours based on production needs

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Material Handler to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for safely moving, organizing, loading, and preparing products while supporting daily production and warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate is comfortable performing physical work, working in a fast-paced environment, and following instructions to ensure products are handled safely and efficiently.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform material handling duties, including gluing, loading trucks, wrapping products, and moving materials by hand or cart.
• Read and understand orders, instructions, and other written communications.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Load and stack products in carts, including reaching overhead.
• Move products by pushing, carrying, or using carts.
• Lift and stack materials weighing up to 25–40 lbs.
• Inspect products for defects and ensure materials meet quality specifications.
• Check material dimensions for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
• Use a tape measure and basic math skills to accurately measure materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
• Assist production supervisors and team members with additional duties as needed.
• Be flexible with assignments and able to take direction from supervisors and team leaders.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is a plus.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions/decimals.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch .
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level.
• Ability to bend, twist, climb, reach overhead, push, pull, walk, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 400 lbs.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Must be willing to complete a post-offer drug screen .
