Due to continued business growth, increased production volumes, and ongoing investment in manufacturing operations, they are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join their maintenance team in Hastings, Michigan.As an Industrial Electrician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of automated manufacturing equipment and facility electrical systems. You will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical equipment while supporting preventative maintenance activities and new equipment installations. Working closely with Machine Repair Technicians, Toolmakers, Engineers, Automation Specialists, and Production teams, you will help maximize equipment uptime and support continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing manufacturer offering competitive hourly rates, long-term career progression, modern manufacturing technology, and an outstanding benefits package.ResponsibilitiesInstall power distribution wiring, conduit, cable trays, and electrical services for new and relocated manufacturing equipment.Install, wire, commission, and support industrial equipment including robots, conveyors, automated production machinery, and PLC-controlled systems.Connect power supply wiring, communication cables, control wiring, and field devices between machines and production equipment.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electrical systems to minimize equipment downtime.Diagnose electrical faults involving: Electric motors, Motor starters, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Relays and contactors, Switches and disconnects, Sensors and position devices, Transformers, Lighting systems and Power distribution equipmentReplace faulty electrical components including relays, switches, motors, sensors, wiring, contactors, overloads, and other industrial control devices.Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty electronic components including printed circuit boards and control modules.Replace motor bearings, rebuild and rewire electric motors where required.Perform basic PLC troubleshooting to identify electrical faults, verify inputs and outputs, and support equipment diagnostics.Utilize robot controllers, teach pendants, and PLC interfaces to assist with equipment troubleshooting, testing, and repair verification.Assist with equipment commissioning, automation upgrades, electrical retrofits, and continuous improvement projects.Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems when required as part of a cross-functional maintenance team.Work closely with Machine Repair Technicians, Toolmakers, Engineering, Automation, and Production teams to resolve equipment issues.Ensure all electrical installations comply with company standards, applicable electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.Verify all machine guards, safety circuits, emergency stops, and interlocks are operating correctly.Accurately document repairs, preventative maintenance activities, inspections, and completed work orders within the CMMS.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.RequirementsHigh School Diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, and industrial electrical experience.Federal/State or Union issued Journeyperson Electrician License or equivalent recognized electrical qualification preferable.Previous experience as an Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Maintenance Technician, Controls Electrician, Automation Electrician, or similar role within a manufacturing environment.One to three years of industrial electrical maintenance experience is preferred.Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, power distribution, motor controls, and electrical troubleshooting.Experience working with low- and high-voltage industrial electrical equipment.Ability to diagnose and repair electrical control systems, motors, relays, sensors, switches, transformers, lighting systems, and industrial machinery.Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation.Basic PLC troubleshooting experience, including identifying electrical faults and verifying machine operation.Familiarity with robotic equipment, automated production machinery, conveyors, and manufacturing equipment.Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, electrical safety requirements, NFPA 70E principles, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills.Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional maintenance team.Strong communication and organizational skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience commissioning new manufacturing equipment.Experience supporting robotics and automated production systems.Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), servo systems, and industrial networks.Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations.Additional industrial automation or controls training.Schedule: First Shift (7.00am -
