We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Staff Pharmacist to join our dynamic healthcare team in a lower volume inhouse pharmacy. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant dispensing of medications while providing exceptional patient care. Your expertise will support clinical pharmacy services, medication management, and patient education. Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to all state and federal pharmacy laws.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy and provide tailored counseling on medication use, side effects, and interactions.
• Manage pharmacy operations efficiently, including inventory control, medication storage, and ensuring pharmaceutical regulatory compliance.
• Lead and manage pharmacy teams, fostering a collaborative environment focused on delivering top-tier patient service and clinical excellence.
• Utilize Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), and other pharmacy software to document patient care activities accurately.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies while maintaining high standards of patient privacy and safety.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy plans, including medical management for complex cases.
• Stay current with drug regulation updates, pharmacy laws, and industry best practices to uphold the highest standards of practice.

Requirements

• Valid pharmacist license in good standing with relevant state pharmacy boards.
• Proven experience in clinical pharmacy practice
• Pharmacy residency or equivalent postgraduate training preferred; additional certifications in compounding is advantageous.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing pharmacy teams and overseeing pharmacy operations effectively.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology to support comprehensive patient care.
• Hands-on experience with pharmacy software systems such as PIS, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), or EHR platforms.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client communication and education.
• Ability to perform drug regulation compliance checks and ensure adherence to USP 797 standards for aseptic technique.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations including HIPAA and pharmaceutical regulatory policies related to drug administration and inventory management.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments such as hospital or acute care settings.
