Position Summary The Procurement Manageris responsible formanaging all purchasing activities for the company, including supplier sourcing, cost negotiation, and purchase order management. This role ensures thetimelyprocurement of raw materials, packaging, and other operational inputsrequiredto support production whileoptimizingcost, quality, and supplier performance. This is a hands‑on individual contributor role responsible for executing procurement strategy,maintainingsupplier relationships, and supporting operational continuity in a fast‑paced consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment. Key Responsibilities Procurement & Purchasing Manage the end‑to‑end purchasing process including purchase order creation, issuance, and tracking. Ensuretimelyprocurement of raw materials, packaging components, and other operational supplies. Works closely with the planning manager to convert material requisitions into purchase orders. Maintainaccuratepurchasing records and supplier documentation within company systems. Supplier Management Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to support cost, quality, and supply continuity goals. Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers to ensure reliability and performance. Monitor supplier performance including pricing, quality, lead times, and service levels. Negotiation & Cost Management Lead supplier negotiations to achieve favorable pricing, payment terms, and contract conditions. Identifyopportunities to reducecostof goods through sourcing strategy, supplier consolidation, and contract renegotiation. Support company margin improvement initiatives through effective cost management. Cross‑Functional Coordination Partner with operations, production, finance, andlogisticsteams to ensure procurement aligns with demand forecasts and operational needs. Provide visibility to leadership on supply risks, cost trends, and procurement performance. Support new product launches by sourcing new materials and suppliers as needed. Risk & Supply Continuity Identifypotential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies. Maintain backup suppliers or sourcing strategies whereappropriate. Monitor market conditions that mayimpactmaterial availability or pricing. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5–8+ years of procurement,purchasing, or sourcing experience. Experience negotiating pricing and supplier contracts. Strong understanding of purchase order management and supplier coordination. Experience working withERP Systems, preferably NetSuite. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Preferred Experience in consumer packagedgoods (CPG), food & beverage, manufacturing, or retail products. Experience sourcingraw materials and packaging components.
