Registered Nurse

Join a dedicated team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit providing exceptional care for newborn patients. This unit offers a Level II NICU with eight private suites. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3. Common patient diagnoses include respiratory distress, feeders and growers, hypoglycemia, and NAS scoring due to opioid withdrawal. Nurses are required to stabilize newborns during assessments and adhere to best practices. All nurses will attend scheduled, urgent, and emergent c-sections as part of their responsibilities. There is a Charge Nurse overseeing the department, with a Resource Nurse available to stabilize admissions and assist in high-risk deliveries. Centralized monitoring systems are in place for continuous patient monitoring. Flexible scheduling accommodates weekend and holiday shifts based on unit needs. Travel nurses have the opportunity to float to various locations as needed. Strict policies are in place regarding hygiene, including limitations on fingernail embellishments.
