This position will be a mix of financial, operational and compliance audits so plenty of variety so you won't get bored. Below are high level responsibilities. You have the ability to move around internally within this organization to gain other skills after 12-24 months (i.e. accounting, FP&A, etc.). It never hurts to have a conversation and learn more. Responsibilities Assist with the Company’s internal audit SOX compliance program and act as a central point of contact and subject matter expert to ensure appropriate internal controls (manual and system) over financial reporting (ICOFR) are properly designed and implemented. Responsible for on-going project management of the internal audit SOX program and related control testing to ensure compliance. Coordinate efforts between Internal Audit, External Audit, and business process owners, including alignment on SOX planning, walkthroughs/testing, audit requests, and deficiency evaluations. Perform financial, operational and compliance audits of the various internal business functions. Drive SOX scoping and risk assessment by collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including accounting, operations, sales, and others, within the Company to stay up to date on significant changes that may have an impact on the design and/or operating effectiveness of controls. Partners with IT and business process owners on internal control considerations for system implementations impacting financial reporting. Identify and evaluate control deficiencies. Facilitate the remediation of identified control deficiencies, including working with business process owners on both immediate and long‑term solutions. Deliver timely and concise communication including developing and producing management reporting illustrating SOX status, trends, and remediation of deficiencies. 1‑5 years of experience in Public Accounting Auditing / Assurance / Risk Advisory / Internal Audit or related fields preferred. 1‑5 years experience with SOX / internal controls testing and compliance / internal or external audit function preferred. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, MAcc / MA / MSA, MBA and professional certification with CPA/CIA/CISA preferred or working towards certification. Experience with internal control testing / SOX 404 and risk management in publicly traded companies or public accounting firms. General understanding of PCAOB standards, SOX requirements and COSO framework. Strong understanding of US GAAP. Technical knowledge of internal controls and the ability to identify risks in business and IT processes including system interdependencies. Experience working with a global organization. Ability to influence, collaborate, and work across the organization, with the CFO, CAO, controllers, treasury, tax, internal audit and other finance leaders. Ability to interface with external stakeholders including external auditors and regulators. What’s in it for you? Compensation – Target base $70‑105k – if you need more, just let me know.
