If you're hungry to build a varied and meaningful career in a community of brilliant and diverse minds to make a real difference, there's only one choice.Your tasks and responsibilities:Demonstrate ability and working knowledge to conduct and complete maintenance on company facilities and equipment across the warehouse, plant and maintain an active inventory of parts, supplies and tools to complete needed repairs and meet availability expectations;Coordinate and schedule service/maintenance work;Maintain company facilities and equipment to enhance value, usefulness, and provide a safe working environment;Understand equipment maintenance requirements and be part of support to floor level employees on maintenance schedule;Follow up with floor-level employees on replacement parts and or ordering parts to performed maintenance on each equipment;Responsible for assessment and compliance with all applicable hazardous work permits, including but not limited to; Lock out Tag Out (LOTO), line breaking, fall protection, confined space and atmospheric monitoring;Maintain accurate records for all equipment and facility maintenance activities performed, leveraging internal IT systems;Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to company's HSE Environmental Safety & Health and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards (e.g. general shop floor/machine safety and operating procedures);Report on any issues to areas, End to End team, and leadership as appropriate and in a timely manner;Perform any other tasks across functional areas depending on site and seasonal needs.Help drive waste elimination and value creation by reducing variation in the production process and equipment settings;Support areas across the plant in driving the adoption of 5S practices to maintain an environment conducive to work, aligning with the labelling and ordering of tools;Help keep metrics and other relevant information current on visual boards to drive teamwork and facilitate shift change over;Become familiar with and troubleshoot seed production equipment (when applicable) operations;May be called on, from time to time, to operate seed production processes;Position entails driving a company vehicle (pooled or assigned to the individual). This may include being required to drive greater than 5,000 business miles annually in a personal, pooled, or rented vehicle OR being expected to frequently drive a pooled car as part of your job duties – regardless of mileage.Who you are:Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:Required Qualifications:High School diploma or GED;Basic knowledge of IT (Internet, Excel, PPT, Word, facilities with systems);Ability to work days, nights, rotating shifts, weekends and overtime as business needs require;Valid Driver's License.Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. (a bag of seed);Ability and knowledge to conduct and complete maintenance on company facilities and equipment across the warehouse and plant.Preferred Qualifications:Three to five years manufacturing experience;Intermediate computer skills with experience using of SAP and PLC;Prior electrical knowledge/experience such as E1&E2 Training, VFD's, Soft Starts, Basic PLC experience, and/or Blueprints/drawings, wire tracing, motor testing, etc.Employees can expect to be paid an hourly between $32.28 to $39.37. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
