Service Electrician


At Performance Electrical Contracting in Jacksonville, FL, we need a service electrician who can show up to a commercial or residential job, figure it out, and get it done with little to no help. If you know your code, take pride in clean work, and know how to talk to a customer, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical issues on commercial and residential service calls
• Install and repair wiring, panels, fixtures, outlets, switches, and more
• Run your own jobs from start to finish with little to no supervision
• Figure out the right materials and approach to get each job done right
• Test your work before you leave to make sure it's done correctly
• Keep the job site neat, organized, and cleaned up when you're done
• Talk directly with customers, explain what you found and what you fixed
• Teach and mentor helpers you're working with on the job
• Keep accurate notes on what you did, what you used, and your time
• Follow all safety rules and OSHA requirements on every job

What You Need

• Several years of experience as an electrician, commercial and residential
• Valid Journeyman Electrician license (or state equivalent)
• Solid knowledge of both commercial and residential code
• Proven ability to work independently and get the job done without a crew
• A good attitude and comfort dealing with customers face to face
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• High school diploma or GED
