Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum as part of the Labor and Delivery team. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients while coordinating with multidisciplinary staff.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum care, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, including identifying abnormal rhythms or distress.
• Administer titratable medications such as oxytocin, magnesium sulfate, and insulin with precision.
• Circulate during cesarean sections, supporting surgical procedures and maintaining sterile environment.
• Collaborate with OB physicians, neonatologists, and midwives to deliver comprehensive care.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Certified in BLS, ACLS, and NRP; EFM certification preferred.
• Demonstrate expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies including pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and PTL.
• Experience circulating during C-sections and handling titratable IV medications required.
• Ability to identify and respond to basic and life-threatening rhythms in a clinical setting.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
