Technical Account Manager II, Microsegmentation

Job Description We are looking for a dynamic security engineering professional with experience in large enterprise environments, passionate about building relationships and ensuring customer success, to join our Security Professional Services team at Akamai Enterprise Security Group (formerly Guardicore). This role focuses on leading large deployment processes, delivering innovative outcomes, and maintaining high customer satisfaction across our Zero Trust, WAF, anti-DDoS, and Bot Management solutions. Responsibilities Act as the focal point for technical vendor‑related issues with the customer. Provide product best practices and design guidance to enhance technical and business outcomes, overseeing scale and performance. Collaborate closely with Support and Engineering teams to resolve issues and drive customer satisfaction. Assist with deployment, configuration, and customization of the platform, adapting to changes in the customer’s environment. Monitor performance to assess system health and recommend improvements. Brief the customer on upcoming features, updates, and provide training in cooperation with Guardicore training team. Qualifications High School / Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. 7–10 years of experience in technical customer‑facing roles such as TAM, solutions engineer, or solutions architect. Experience with microsegmentation platforms, EDR, or network security and Zero Trust products. Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V). Experience with Kubernetes is advantageous. Strong understanding of networking, security, and operating systems (Linux/Windows). Demonstrated account‑management expertise and effective communication abilities. Location and Work Flexibility This role requires a base location in Cambridge, MA or Dallas, TX to accommodate time zone and travel requirements.
