Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Gardner, Massachusetts. Start date 08/10/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,147–$2,286 per week. Guaranteed hours 0.0. Shift: 4x10-hour rotating with on-call. Setting: acute-care hospital operating room.

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for surgical patients, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Maintain sterile fields, prepare and handle supplies and instrumentation, and oversee counts of sponges, needles, and instruments; manage specimen labeling and handling per policy.
- Safely administer medications and intravenous therapies according to physician orders, protocols, and procedures; complete medication reconciliation as needed.
- Verify patient identity, selected procedure, and operative site prior to surgery; adhere to aseptic technique throughout the case.
- Assess and manage patient pain, monitor vital signs, and respond promptly to intraoperative emergencies; ensure documentation of interventions and patient responses.
- Provide patient and family education, plan discharge with appropriate resources, and collaborate with care teams to ensure smooth transition and continuity of care.

Requirements
- Current Massachusetts RN license
- OR nursing experience; CNOR strongly preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- ACLS upon hire or must hold active BLS; ACLS to be obtained within 60 days of hire
- Ability to function effectively in a high-priority OR environment with rotating shifts and call responsibilities
