About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour PM-AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: RN License required Certifications: Oncology Certification preferred Must-Have: - Experience with chest tubes. - Proficient in managing intravenous drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone. - Familiarity with lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients. - Experience with tracheostomies and laryngectomies. - Knowledge of telemetry and complex wound care. - Skilled in central line care, maintenance, and blood draws. Description: MedSurg RN needed for an oncology unit. The unit consists of 24 beds for hematology, oncology, gynecological oncology, and medical-surgical patients. There are 9 beds dedicated to hematology and cellular therapy. Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and managing side effects for patients receiving radiation therapy and radioisotopes. Common diagnoses include lymphoma, leukemia, and ovarian cancers. Candidates must meet the preferred experience requirements to be considered for this position.
