About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour PM-AM Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Chest tubes experience - Experience with medications including Diltiazem, Heparin, Lasix, Insulin, or Amiodarone - Knowledge of lines, tubes, and drains for patients - Experience caring for tracheostomies and laryngectomies - Telemetry experience - Skilled in handling complex wounds - Proficient in central line care, maintenance, and blood draws Description: Registered Nurse needed for immediate start. The role involves caring for a variety of medical patients rather than surgical. Patients may present with acute or chronic illnesses such as sepsis and various infectious processes. You will manage cases including acute kidney injury or chronic kidney disease, including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients. Experience in diabetes management and gastrointestinal issues is essential. Candidates should be knowledgeable in addressing fluid and electrolyte imbalances. You will encounter cases related to alcohol withdrawal, liver disease, substance misuse, endocarditis, and heart disease. Experience in managing skin and wound issues is required. The role includes caring for patients with acute and chronic respiratory illnesses, including COPD, flu, pneumonia, and Cystic Fibrosis. Candidates must be familiar with the complexities of patient care in a medical specialties environment.
