Specific Duties and Responsibilities Understand and interpret the functions of major system components for P&H overhead cranes, including hoists, trolleys, bridges, and control systems Use electrical and mechanical schematic diagrams to analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot system issues Inspect, maintain, and repair AC/DC motors, gearboxes, brakes, and drive systems; identify and correct motor-related problems Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust hoist and trolley control systems, including limit switches, relays, contactors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on crane systems to ensure safe and reliable operation Conduct functional testing of critical components and systems to verify operational performance and safety compliance Perform resistance, voltage, and continuity checks using appropriate testing equipment Inspect and maintain wiring, festoon systems, pendant controls, and radio control systems Identify potential safety hazards and ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies, site procedures, and OSHA regulations Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspection results accurately and in a timely manner Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety personnel to support ongoing crane reliability and uptime Other Duties as Assigned The incumbent may be asked to perform additional tasks as needed. Qualifications / Requirements Experience working on overhead cranes (P&H preferred) in an industrial or refinery setting Strong understanding of electrical troubleshooting and mechanical systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics Familiarity with industrial safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding environments Austin Industrial is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Austin Industries
