Customer Service Representative Inside Sales

The Customer Service Representative Inside Sales provides a high level of customer service and sales support by helping customers identify and obtain the products and services they need.

This position serves as a key point of contact for customers, responding to inquiries, preparing quotes, processing orders, sourcing products, and resolving customer concerns. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced sales and service environment.

Customer Service & Sales Support

• Respond to customer inquiries and provide timely, professional assistance.
• Prepare and provide customer quotes.
• Receive and process customer orders.
• Proactively generate sales opportunities and promote company products.
• Provide customers with product and service information.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer questions and concerns.
• Maintain professional communication with customers throughout the sales and order fulfillment process.

Order & Product Management

• Order and source products based on customer requirements.
• Work with customers and suppliers to ensure orders are completed accurately.
• Expedite backordered products and communicate updates as needed.
• Assist with customer returns and related documentation.
• Support inventory-related activities and order fulfillment.
• Assist with pulling inventory and preparing customer shipments when needed.

Pricing & Vendor Coordination

• Negotiate sales and purchase prices as appropriate.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding product availability, pricing, and order requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure customer needs are met.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and focused.
• Ability to multitask and effectively manage time and priorities.
• Moderate computer proficiency.
• Comfortable communicating internally and externally through email.
• Ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal team members.

Preferred Experience

• Previous customer service, inside sales, order processing, or related experience.
• Previous industry and/or sales experience.
• Knowledge of supply chain systems.
• Knowledge of industrial products is helpful but not required.

Technical Skills

Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including:

• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Outlook
