Job Summary
The Customer Service Representative (Inside Sales) supports customers by providing product information, quotes, order assistance, and technical support while helping drive sales. This role works closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to source products, resolve issues, expedite orders, and ensure customer needs are met accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a customer-focused environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries and provide product information, quotes, and order assistance.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Source products and coordinate with suppliers to fulfill customer requirements.
• Negotiate sales and purchase prices as appropriate.
• Proactively promote products and identify sales opportunities.
• Expedite backorders and communicate order status to customers.
• Assist with pulling inventory and preparing customer shipments.
• Process and assist with customer returns.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers to obtain information and fulfill orders accurately.
• Troubleshoot customer concerns and coordinate appropriate resolutions.
• Maintain accurate customer and order information in applicable systems.
• Manage multiple customer requests and priorities while meeting service and sales objectives.

Job Requirements

• Previous customer service, inside sales, sales, or related experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and use time effectively.
• Moderate computer skills, including email communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Knowledge of supply chain systems preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial products or related products is a plus.
• Strong initiative, judgment, interpersonal skills, and achievement orientation.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• High school diploma or GED.

Education

• High school diploma or GED.

Work Experience

• Previous customer service, inside sales, sales, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, preferred.
